Eczema Diet Foods

Eczema and diet go hand and hand. You can stop eczema outbreaks in their tracks by closely monitoring your diet. A good way to do this is by identifying foods that cause an eczema outbreak. Because not all eczema suffers will have the same triggers, it will take careful management of your diet to determine which foods cause these flare-ups. Also it is wise to make sure your diet includes items that are good for your skin, many sufferers are deficient in vitamins and supplements that support healthy skin. Making sure that your diet includes these supplements will lessen the chances of experiencing an outbreak.

If you are closely applying the principles of careful management to your eczema diet then you will probably realize that certain foods are triggering your flare-ups. This is easily determined by a simple process of trial, error and elimination. What you need to start doing is becoming very observant of how your skin reacts when eating certain foods. If you notice an eczema break-out immediately after consuming particular food then make sure you eliminate that food from your diet.

Please keep in mind that some foods you eat will trigger an immediate eczema reaction which can range in time from within two hours of consuming , or you may not experience an outbreak until six to twenty-fours later. This being said it is probably best to carry a journal of the foods you eat for a month so you can track patterns in outbreaks against foods that you’ve eaten.

Now to make your task of following your eczema diet a little easier I’ve included a couple of common foods that people with eczema have found will trigger a flare-up.  These foods include, peanuts, shellfish, fish, milk, soy, eggs, corn and food preservatives (MSG). Again this is just a small list of the most known triggers everyone is different.
